The Andrew Carnegie Birthplace Museum is currently showing an exhibition with the Royal Scottish Academy called A Celebration of the Carnegie Travelling Scholarship. To accompany having an art exhibition in the hall, the museum is delivering a programme of talks, digital viewings and a new school workshop, to encourage as many people as possible to explore the exhibition and find a personal connection with the works. On the 21st of May we have Cat Berry presenting as the descendant of an RSA member. Cat will explore the connections between the Carnegie and Paton families which started over 200 years ago. The families stayed in touch after the Carnegies emigrated and Cat will share stories of the friendship between these Dunfermline families and the affection between Andrew, Amelia and Noël.
