East Neuk Seaweed

About

East Neuk Seaweed is a distinguished association of forager member, whose expertise and passion for sustainable coastal practices have garnered widespread recognition. Our unique approach has been featured on prominent platforms such as Channel 4, BBC, The Guardian, and The New York Times. Take a walk on the wild side and embark on an unforgettable journey of discovery and skill-building along the breathtaking East Neuk coastline in Fife, Scotland!

Join us 'Out on the Rocks' and immerse yourself in the tightly connected, highly evolved ecosystems that lie just beneath Scotland's clear and clean waters. Our hands-on approach will equip you with the skills and confidence to:

  • Identify and forage edible seaweeds sustainably
  • Work with the tides and weather patterns
  • Stay safe and respectful on the shore
  • Utilise seaweed in the kitchen and other places at home
  • Enjoy a three-course wild cooked meal in the open air

We explore various locations, usually around the East Neuk, including Kingsbarns, Earlsferry, and St Monans. However, we have been known to roam further and wider throughout Scotland and beyond.

Also: For those seeking a truly personalised experience, we offer bespoke, one-off adventures tailored to your interests and needs.

Whether you're dreaming of a private foraging expedition, a customised wild cooking class, or a unique blend of coastal exploration and wellness activities, we'll work with you to craft an unforgettable experience that celebrates the beauty and bounty of the East Neuk coastline and beyond.
